We spent a night at this beautiful B&B, the Inn at Sugar Hollow, in the backwoods of Virgina near Charlottesville. It's a gorgeous setting with nothing to do but hike. The night sky is spectacular and we got a final look at Comet Hale-Bopp. The next day, we attempted to visit Monticello, but bailed out of a 2-hour wait. |

The next two nights were at the First Colony Inn at Nag's head, NC. It is another luxurious B&B (Jacuzzi in the room, etc.) |

Nag's Head is the location of Kill Devil Hill, where the Wright Brothers made their first flights in 1903. This marker is the landing spot of the first flight, about 200 feet from the takeoff point. |
